getting back into full production mode... yeah right. we know about your thirst for music that makes your ears go pop & to that end we are now releasing two of those no type (od)ditties you've grown to love.
influenza
eryk salvaggio, who you should know for his work on his one38 site, if not from his two
matrix assimilation singles (not to count a flurry of mp3s scattered around the web
under various guises), is exposing to us what influenza does to a human brain with too
much gear. within minutes, you'll find yourself singing 'i won't be happy till i get
you' ad nauseam too.
themoonstealingproject
debut ep from jason urick's highly regarded satellite-hijacking operation. you may have
stumbled upon his erratic half-ambient sound files on mp3.com already; here he presents
us with 6 new songs which thread on alien grounds: the sound of open space presented in
blanket format.
new software page
k.m. krebs, aka 833-45, has taken up the task of putting together a software page,
after many months of virtual emptiness. he has included much more than mp3 players: all
sorts of sound software are included, which should allow you to attempt kicking our
ass.
no type on tour?
yep, ideas have been thrown arounds recently on the insiders message board & to
throw in a show or four this summer is amongst them. rumoured host cities include
montréal, chicago & the u.s. east coast. of course, if you are a promoter & you
can help us make this idea a reality, by all means throw us a line & we will lend a
very attentive ear. or eye. in the meantime, you may wish yourself to prepare for the
mutek festival, which will take place in montréal from june 7 to 11, & whose
line-up include tomas jirku (as well as vladislav delay, taylor deupree, the raster
posse, jake mandell, kid 606, & other such fun peoples.) i suppose we will hear
more about this later.
