just put together this new page with a few layout changes. the 'other cosy web places' (see below) needs your proposals because there's no way we could guess what you're doing if you don't tell us. email us to tell us of your project & why it's interesting to our visitors. we're open to all suggestions. debut viceroy single coming out in the beginning of next week. be patient... it'll be very much worth it.

having a mellow time, aren't we? thus it is time to update the site! this time it's my turn (hey, i run the site, dammit) to present a new release: Heap which i'm actually quite happy with. don't expect anything like Folder (or any of my other releases, for that matter) for this is my first documented take at minimalist ambient shit. of course, this doesn't sound anything like what you see dubbed 'minimal' everyday, but that's because i couldn't imitate any genre if my life depended on it. however please check it out if you like your drones spiced with granular synthesis with a somewhat organic feel to them.
a new single is almost ready for release, & it's by the viceroy who is none other than tomas jirku pulling off schematic beats with heavy digital 'melodies' (for lack of a better term) to a completely mind-numbing effect. more dynamic than his minimal techno work, but still with that jirku skill. oh well, i'll let you be the judge: the thing should be up soon enough we hope.

now that the holidays are definitely done with, it's time to kick the new year with more than just three zeroes: thus, mr. k.m. krebs delivers his second no type ep, Wavelength, which picks up where his previous ep left. so we're in for a treat of shortwaves of the messy kind, mixed in with a more than healthy dose of jazz (& not of the fusion kind), & an uncanny sense of purpose. the sort of noises coming out from those five tracks are genuinely difficult to describe, but then again, so is pretty much everything on the site (even surfing secrets!)
any other news? not really, other than i can't seem to find the time to update the rest of the site (namely the no shop page...) as soon as i get myself to sit down & write down that little perl script that will take care of the dirty work though, it'll be up, so if you have any data you wish to insert, please email me with all the info.
a quick reminder of what the no shop page is meant for: it will be the entrypoint to discover hard-to-find discs & paraphrenilia from the no type crew & likeminded labels from around the world. it will directly link to an internet resource selling the selected item, so that you can find your way through quickly & encourage new artists wishing to sell their music through the internet. of course, if you make your own music, you're invited to submit your data (see link above, too tired to type it again!)
is that all? well, our visitors from québec who have just missed tonight's les choix de sophie on télé-québec have also missed a no type spotlight featuring yours truly (what can you do!) sorry for not telling earlier, i myself knew only two days ago or so. anyway, there are plans to convert the thing into digital video format & put it on the site. i just don't know when that'll happen.
the hell with red meat, save the cows for the milk (you need the calcium anyway.)
