A world of contrast is what awaits those who will heed the sound of Brussels based duo Tangtype, the happy meeting of Julie Cambier’s fragile yet expressive voice with Jean-François Brohée’s savant electronic tweakings. On the menu: all manners of weaving, colliding, mingling and shredding. A debut mini-album that’s at once fragmented and warm, and most of all full of charm. And another addition to this decreasingly marginal genre which we’ll call “acousmatic pop”.
