Having sent a CD to Jon (Vaughn) for him to listen to my current work, I must have soon thereafter forgotten that I was a musician for no time since have I been as productive as the time spent realizing these tracks presented here. these are mostly a lot of pro tools mixes of max/MSP improvisations I did on various patches I was making at the time. These pieces are not necessarily "live" and make liberal use of field recordings (processed or unprocessed) to frame the melodies and noises created within MSP. I thought I had lost them completely due to the fact that I considered the mixes "undone" (When are they not?). Having not done anything to back up the mix files or archived any of my mixes, the old laptop got zapped by an electrostatic cloud somewhere in Virginia. Oh lord, how do we exist in this digital age? --- the framework that constitutes our bits is forever fragile.
